“Let us think of education as the means of developing our greatest abilities, because in each of us there is a private hope and dream which, fulfilled, can be translated into benefit for everyone and greater strength for our nation.”
-President John F. Kennedy

My Teaching Philosophy was defined by my life as a student, a highlight of which was being introduced to Billy Joel’s “We Didn’t Start the Fire” for a school project. Listening to Joel poetically call out dozens of historical phenomena was more than enough to jump-start me on my educational journey.
